Programs
Registration for the club is OPEN all year round for our Recreational/Intro to Vaulting Level Classes as well as International level classes for any one wanting to join, as well as current vaulters wanting a new start.
Our class sizes allow for a great learning experience between both lower and higher level vaulters. Come join us in learning all about the sport of vaulting!
Competitive
Our Competitive Program is offered to vaulters aged 4 and up as well. However it is usually geared towards our more dedicated vaulters that are striving to take a more serious approach about their vaulting and who are wanting to experience the competitive world. These vaulters are able to compete in the walk, trot and canter levels, as well as compete as an individual, pas de deux (pairs) or even in a team. Competitive vaulters are welcome to compete both in local shows, as well as internationally. In a typical vaulting year, there are normally 3-4 Alberta shows to participate in. Vaulters who enter our competitive program are expected to train weekly and take part in our fundraising activities. Lessons for these specific vaulters will include everything from horse care, tacking and brushing the horses, gymnastics skills, rhythm and harmony with the horses, flexibility training, strength and workouts, personal growth and mental health techniques and of course vaulting on both the barrels and horses! Our lessons typically run all year round, including in the winter with barrel and drill training, weather permitting. These vaulters are also more than welcome to train at home on their drills and conditioning all throughout the season.
Recreational
Our Recreational Vaulting Program is offered for anyone aged 4 and up. This program is for any vaulters that are interested in the sport but aren't feeling ready to compete in a show setting yet. As a Recreational vaulter you will learn all the basics that apply to the sport of vaulting, including basic horse care, gymnastics skills, rhythm with the horse, flexibility, and strength. Classes will of course also include vaulting on both the barrels and our trained horses! Although these kids are in the Rec Program ,vaulters will still experience Individual, Pairs and Team vaulting skills in a safe and fun setting during their weekly practices! Vaulters may choose to stay in the Recreational program as long as they wish, or if they desire they can talk with the coaches about a more competitive stream, and we can work towards those goals as a team!
Private Lessons
Private Lessons are offered to any vaulter who is wanting some extra attention and expertise on their vaulting performance . Privates can consist of strictly ground and barrel work or it can be a combination of ground, barrel and horse time. Vaulters will be able to communicate with the coaches what they are feeling they need to or want to work on, and coaches may add their own thoughts as well. Privates may also be offered as a semi group private .Depending on what the family chooses, the prices may vary. If you are interested in booking a private lesson for your vaulter please contact the club coaches directly.
