Meet the biggest members on the team
Our team of gentle giants are eager to meet you!
Lucasis Tango
Major is a 17hh, purebred Percheron gelding. He began his vaulting career in 2014 while we were helping out another club. His job consists of being an individual, pairs, and team horse at the walk, as well as a trot individual horse. While Major is not being used in the vaulting program he is used as a wagon horse, and for the occasional trail ride.
Frederick
Fred is a 15.2hh, quarter horse gelding. He was entered into our vaulting program in 2016, and began his career. He was originally used as a ranch horse by his previous owners, but his well tempered behavior made him a great candidate for vaulting. He is used in all aspects of vaulting consisting of walk, trot and canter. Fred has also been used for pairs and team. He is a little kid favorite. Outside of vaulting, Fred is used for trails, arena work, chasing cattle as well as obstacles.
Maverick
Maverick is our newest vaulting horse, he is a 17.3hh, Percheron thoroughbred cross gelding. He has only been with the club since March of 2019, but has exceeded our expectations already. His willing and gentle personality makes him a gem to work with. Maverick has been used in walk, trot and canter classes, as well as pairs and team. We have high hopes for this amazing horse and can't wait to see what the future holds. He also enjoys dressage, trails, and jumping.
Quigley Down Under
Quigley is a 16.2hh, warmblood quarter horse cross gelding. He entered the club in May of 2018, and began his vaulting career.He is currently being used as a canter individual horse, as well as walk and trot. Quigley has also been used as a pairs and team horse. He is a very well rounded horse, being used for obstacles, chasing cows, trails, dressage and jumping.
Black Jack
Jack is a 16.1hh, Percheron quarter horse cross gelding. He is our Jack of all trades. He has been used as a walk individual, pairs and team horse, as well as an individual trot and canter horse within our training program with potential to do more. His gentle yet sassy personality makes him a canter favorite. He also loves trail rides, obstacles, chasing cows and the occasional dressage.
Buddy
Buddy is a 17.1hh Percheron gelding. He just recently entered into our vaulting program this summer. Buddy so far has willingly adapted to being used at the walk individual level, but as potential to do more. He has a lovely calm mindset, making him easy to train. He is also used as a wagon horse along side Major and was used as a 4H horse by his previous owners.
